Upon analysis, we notice that a lot of the content is in video format and isn't structured for a featured snippet. However, we see an opportunity to create a bulleted list featuring all the ingredients, tools, and steps needed to make a homemade beard balm. By reworking the content and optimizing the format, Beard Brand may have a chance to rank for the featured snippet.

However, if they want to explore opportunities for their blog subfolder too, they can filter keywords with URLs containing '/blogs.' By layering on additional filters around volume and position targeting, they can trim down the list to a more manageable set.

Defining the Content

After identifying an opportunity to steal a featured snippet, analyze the competing snippet. Sometimes, it might not be a good fit with the type of content you currently have ranking. As previously mentioned, it's often the informational how-to or comparative queries that trigger the majority of the featured snippets. In this case, Beard Brand might shift their attention back to the blog subfolder to look for more high-volume opportunities that they can steal the snippet for.
