How to Solve the Rubik's Cube: Episode 5
Welcome back to the series "How to Solve the Rubik's Cube." In episode 5, we will be focusing on the adjustment phase of solving the Rubik's Cube. This is the second last step before solving the cube completely. We recommend practicing the earlier steps before moving onto this one because it may be a little bit tricky.
Step 1: Identify Correctly Placed Segment
Before we start the adjustment phase, we need to make sure that every single segment is lined up and connected. Once we have done that, we need to get the corners into the correct placement positions.
You may find that one piece is perfectly placed, but even if it's not, you can consider any side which has each of the three colors to be perfectly placed.
Step 2: Follow the Algorithm
Identify any side which is correctly placed and hold it in your hand. Make sure that the bottom right-hand side is in this position. Now, follow this algorithm:
- 1
- 2
- 3
- 4
- 5
- 6
- 7
- 8
By following these eight simple steps, you can shift the side to wherever you want it.
Step 3: Repeat Algorithm
Keep repeating this algorithm until you position everything correctly. Remember to start with the bottom right corner and always stick to the reference point when doing the algorithm.
Step 4: Final Step
The final step is the longest sequence. However, with practice, it's not that difficult. Once you learn it, it's going to be pretty quick for you to figure out this step.
By following these steps, you can already start to see that the cube is nearly done. It's just the case of the last final step.
Conclusion
We hope this article helped you understand how to solve the Rubik's Cube in episode 5. Keep practicing and always refer back to the earlier steps if you struggle. Until next time, peace.
